Our Story
Welcome to The Shelby Hub, where memories are made, and we celebrate you!
Adam and Julie purchased the Shelby Hub building with the hopes of offering a central gathering place for the community. An event center was a natural fit. It previously was a central hub for the railroad workers and community, so we are thankful to be able to slowly restore purpose back into The Shelby Hub building.
Whether you are hosting a business meeting, family reunion, baby shower, special event, birthday party, or wedding reception, The Shelby HUB is committed to delivering an affordable, enjoyable and memorable experience for you and your guests.
Why Shelby Hub?
Great question! We wanted to pay tribute to the rich history Shelby bicycles, and use some wordplay based on the meaning of the word “Hub”. You see, the Shelby Cycle Company manufactured bicycles in Shelby, Ohio from 1925 to 1953. They were popular for being trend setters, taking you on your next adventure, the experiences you could have, along with their signature style.
Our Mission
A bike hub is the central component of a bicycle wheel that allows the wheel to rotate smoothly. Without a hub, the wheel cannot spin on the bike, making it a critical part for proper cycling function. A hub is also a central, connection place of a city or a hub of activities. As a result, our desire is for the Shelby Hub to be a popular destination to effortlessly connect people and celebrate memories for years to come.
